Joy of missing out

Seminar is set out to explore public space-making as a contemporary cultural act. Cultural shifts are fragile and often discreet, we will examine a range of spatial practices and discuss triggers that allow to enter into them – materials, conditions, technology, special objects. How do these spatial practices transform public space and how do they facilitate it? What enables us to be here and now? We will follow some guidance of Avocado Ibuprofen’s charts and the latter projects developed within ĒTER to
find out. Seminar is a fraction of an ongoing search for clues to a new-or-perhaps-forgotten-kind of awareness of the built environment and a desire for profound togetherness. AFK (away from keyboard), silent retreats, autogenic training, ASMR, breathing techniques, digital detox, embracing the joy of missing out (JOMO instead of FOMO) – to name a few spatial practices of self-medication against stress, anxiety, insomnia and loneliness.
